Hammerhead Sleds

Places to Sled

Welcome to the premier source for sledding locations around the world!

Please verify any database information before sledding as designations change and this listing may not be up-to-date.  Always wear a helmet and never sled on ice!

Our "Find a Hill" database  is growing daily. It includes free hills and large traditional ski resorts. Please contact us to include your sled venue for others to enjoy.

SLED HILLS
Currently, free sledding enjoys enormous popularity in many places including backyard slopes, closed roads, mountain trails, and hills designated for sledding by towns and municipalities. (Please note that not all hills are officially sanctioned and must be checked beforehand.) In many cases you can find hills simply by driving around.

SKI AREAS
The Hammerhead team is working with industry leaders and riders to open up access.  At most resorts, basic rules apply regarding the use of lifts and slopes by alternative devices. Sledding is similar to ski biking, tubing, snow scooting, and other devices. If you do not see your favorite mountain listed in the database, approach the operations manager and show him (or her) your sled for a determination. Potential mountains access includes after hours sledding, specified trail (GREEN), specified time, specified lift, night sledding, Hammerhead park, and activities desk options (rentals, nearby access). It is rare today that you'll see full mountain access (merging with skiers). Call for our free guide "Ski Area How To".

If you are a ski area and are interested to learn more about our 'Event Day' package you'll find it here - Resort Demo Program

BECOME A HAMMERHEAD MOUNTAIN

Sledders present a significant new source of revenue from people who would never otherwise visit your resort. The Hammerhead sled and the advantages of access to a large slope provides a great opportunity to attract a new demographic. Revenue potential comes from lift tickets, rentals, training, sales, service, tours, corporate races etc. If you are a ski area interested in creating a dedicated Hammerhead sled park or offer an activity to guests who do not feel like skiing or boarding, contact us. You will receive the Resort Resource Guide providing information on increasing revenue generation utilizing Hammerhead sleds and other tools. Or, if you’d like the Hammerhead team to stop by for a promotional demo day, please let us know. We’ll bring the kit and caboodle to provide a day of fun and excitement.
